2024 Apr 02 | WPT Virgin Voyage - exploring the Valiant Lady ship
On Tuesday, I walked around the ship, top to bottom, before most people were up. Deck 16 forward has Richard's Rooftop, which only suite guests can access.
It's not much different from the rest of the ship, just sectioned off.
Behind that on the right is one of the few smoking areas.
Many lounge chairs and larger chairs.
Large chairs facing the ocean.
The pool.
A smaller pool.
There were many private cabanas here. I'm not sure if you have to reserve them or not, but I didn't see many people using them during the cruise.
Big benches.
Basketball court.
Chess.
A hot tub near the back of the ship.
Huge seats.
A bar back there.
Going up to deck 17 is The Perch. There's a running track all the way around the ship, but you can only go up and down from the back.
Early morning yoga.
Back down to deck 16 on the left side with these funky chairs.
And wide... couches, kinda?
A ring with a boxing bag.
Seating in the middle of the ship.
A cafe there with spicy food.
The Tune Up is a mani pedi spa.
Down to deck 15 and the pool.
The Scene is a private event area.
The exercise rooms wrap around the pool. One side has treadmills...
... and the other side has weights.
In the back is The Galley, with all of the fast restaurants.
People are starting to wander in for breakfast.
There's lots of seating there.
On the left side in the back is Gunbae, the Korean BBQ.
Seating in the back of the ship.
Cool cushion.
Decks 8 through 15 are all cabins, so down to the back of deck 7, which has many different seating options.
On the left side is a little juice bar.
On the right is the Dock House.
Some seating there.
And this giant couch.
Going forward are some small shops.
And the Social Club, with hot dogs and tons of different snacks.
Air hockey, with the Loose Cannon bar beyond that.
The arcade.
With some games from the 80s and 90s.
Lots of board games.
The Grounds Club, a coffee bar, on the right.
The Pizza Place on the left.
Lick Me Till Ice Cream by that.
I loved the bright neon signs.
The Roundabout atrium, which was filled with poker tables for this cruise.
Draught Haus bar.
Outside has lots of seating.
With shuffleboard.
And a view of other ships.
The Manor, the nightclub.
The second story.
Looking down from above.
Still computer issues, this time with Windows Media Player.
This is the rather hidden entrance to the upper level of The Manor.
Sip Champagne lounge.
At the front is The Red Room, where they have live performances.
Although, like the Atrium, it too is filled with poker tables.
The Groupie has private karaoke rooms.
Now down to the front of deck 6, which has the entrance to the Red Room (deck 7 only had some small observation areas).
Trophy.
More neon.
Neat hallway.
Red Room from deck 6.
Behind that is the casino.
With slots and table games.
The bottom entrance to The Manor, which is much prettier than the upper entrance.
Then there's High Street, which has a bunch of shops, including a tattoo parlor.
And a hair salon.
Lots of red stuff for sale.
Jewelry.
Clothing.
Purses.
Small convenience store.
Extra Virgin is the Italian restaurant on the right side.
Across the ship past some more shops...
... and a few more...
... is Test Kitchen.
Which has many more experimental courses.
At the back is The Wake.
Another restaurant.
With seating that is more spread apart.
And some that is semi-private.
Then down to deck 5. One side has Razzle Dazzle, the vegetarian restaurant.
The other side has Pink Agave, the Mexican restaurant.
Although right now it's filled with people about to go golfing.
A cool walkway from Pink Agave...
... to Sailor Services. Usually this is by the atrium in most ships, so it's rather weird being stuck down here to the side.
The Redemption Spa, with hot and cold pools.
Heated marble benches.
Sauna.
And steam room.
