2024 Apr 02 | WPT Virgin Voyage - Cayman Islands (stingrays), Ship Show
Our bed in the middle of the room makes the room feel more cramped.
Dad, Mom, and Monica's room has the bed on the side, which gives a large central open area.
Colorful clouds.
Breakfast.
Breads.
Desserts.
Eating on the back deck.
Grabbing some fruit to go.
Sunrise.
Daily schedule.
Back.
My plan.
Me in the hammock.
Ogii.
Dad.
Monica.
The outlets have US, European, and USB plugs.
We brought enough red accessories to share with everyone.
These fit Dad well.
Me, Mom, and Dad in all red.
Monica and Ogii with stockings.
A bit of rain over the island.
Early lunch in The Wake.
Very good steak.
Desserts.
Don't get the time zone wrong and miss the ship.
We took tenders onto the island.
Ready to go.
And we're off.
Our ship.
A Royal Caribbean ship.
A Disney ship. Uh oh, we're going to have to deal with children again.
Very blue water.
Arriving at the Cayman Islands.
Various food vendors.
And tourist stores.
Fun logo.
The Virgin app works well on the ship's wifi, but not nearly as well elsewhere. I hope I can remember which tour we were with.
This woman had a shiny stingray backpack.
There were a bunch of different tour vendors under these canopies, but none of them had signs, so it was rather confusing finding ours.
After asking a few different groups, we found ours.
They took us to the buses.
And drove us to our destination.
Past many more stores.
And the House of Parliament.
Getting onto the boat.
Fun bathroom sign.
The crew giving instructions.
Some huge houses by the water.
They took us out to this area.
Where there were some stingrays.
And a lot of other boats with tourists.
Mom ready to hold a stingray.
Her and Dad holding it.
Look here!
Kissing it.
From the side.
Mom and Ogii petting it.
Make sure it's underwater most of the time.
Only bring it up for a quick picture.
Ogii and me.
Kissing it.
It was fun because there were a bunch of stingrays swimming around all over.
Next we went to a spot for snorkeling. There were a lot of fish.
Ogii.
A stingray here, too.
Coral.
Bright fish.
A bunch of fish hanging out under the boat.
Back to the ship.
Very intricate logo.
Looking back at the island.
That evening we went to the Ship Show, which had a variety of different acts.
Main singer and dancers.
The band.
The host.
Ogii having a drink.
The food was decent.
A dancer right at the edge.
Some more.
Balancing.
Contorting.
Another course.
They played a song, and when a contestant knew what it was, they spanked the host with a pool noodle.
Chicken.
Fish.
Swinging around in the air.
Balancing.
Dessert.
Finale.
All of us in red at the atrium stairs.
Just the kids.
Women with sunglasses.
Ogii with the diva.
No poker until they leave the port.
Stuck for a bit.
Lots of people want to play.
After we left, time for some poker for a few hours.
Keeping track of where the poker tables are.
Some people dancing in The Manor. Normally I'd expect it to be packed, but everyone is playing poker instead.
You can only buy entry into a tournament the day of the tournament, not the day before. I wanted to play a tournament the next day, so I waited until a few minutes after midnight to buy it. There was no line now, whereas tomorrow the line will probably be like an hour long.
