2024 Jun 25 | Beer Fest, Bailey's Antiques and Aloha Shirts
Very bright car in front of us at the Hawaii Beer Fest.
Neat gate.
Food vendors.
We had BBQ.
A goose statue.
It was pretty busy.
Live music.
Beer pong.
Trying to decide which vendor to try first.
The lines were pretty long.
But they moved fairly quickly.
Ooh, a sour, I'll definitely try that.
Each vendor usually had a couple of options to choose from.
More vendors.
They listed the beers available, but you could really see what they were from the back of the line, so it was a bit of a gamble deciding which line to get in.
These aren't so bad.
Hawaiian-top cans.
We split up into different lines.
So we could try twice as many beers.
I'm not really a fan of IPA, but I stood in this line, so I guess I'll try it.
Me getting mine.
Ogii getting hers.
Then we both tried both.
Some people had pretzel necklaces. I didn't think of that.
These guys went all-out on their outfits.
Another line.
Another IPA.
There were some rain clouds around, but it only barely sprinkled a bit; thankfully it didn't rain.
Getting to the front.
Another IPA.
I got a dark beer.
Alcoholic fruit punch; that's more my style.
They had a limbo bar.
We gave it a shot.
One last set of drinks.
You could get a picture with these parrots at the front.
Connecticut.
Pennsylvania. These are both a long ways from home.
Full moon over Diamond Head.
Ogii bought me a little golf kit in case we start golfing.
The Prius is all clean and ready to sell.
Inside, too.
Ogii cooking salmon.
Most of the units in our complex have doors that are set back a ways.
Like this one.
But a few are closer to the front. I wonder if they were initially designed that way, or if a past owner moved the door to get a bit more room inside?
I bought this Drain Weasel to check the drains.
Trying the tub.
Nothing down there; that's good.
I really like how this shirt looks.
But it's so cheap; the top of the pocket is just printed on.
Colorful clouds at sunrise.
You can see how the mountains separate the windward and leeward sides of the island.
Watching Schitt's Creek, and I recognize that gold decoration on the wall.
There it is again.
It's very similar to the one we had in the meeting room of the student union we had Program Council meetings in at USD.
Ogii guessed the commercial would be California Closets.
Which makes three in a row on this break.
She's quite happy about it.
The shaka is now the official state gesture.
Riding a scooter without and footwear seems a bit dangerous.
She's wearing shoes, but also headphones. That seems even worse; you might not hear a car about to hit you.
Bailey's Antiques and Aloha Shirts.
They have the big names for less.
That's a lot of shirts.
This room is mainly men's.
And this room is mostly women's.
The new ones are still fairly expensive and the same price they are in stores.
But the used ones are cheaper.
Only $20 for this one.
And $40 for a Reyn Spooner.
Very cool mural at the Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu academy.
