2024 Jul 16 | Lance and Sarah: Moku Kitchen, Nutridge luau

Breakfast.

Getting some groceries. We like these apple bananas better than regular bananas.

The bakery markdowns cart had some great cookies for cheap.

Neat beer can pictures.

Someone on the last cruise had these sandals, which I thought were really cool. I couldn't find them online anywhere, though.

I asked around online some, and someone noted a pair was on eBay.

Yep, that's them. I thought they were a very old version as I couldn't find them online, but these look brand new.

Very wide cloud over the mountains.

We went to Moku Kitchen for dinner.

They had live music.

And beers with fun names. Gotta try The Floor is Guava.

With our food.

Hamburger.

Tacos.

Pizza.

Salad.

Dessert.

The discount cookies were so good, I went back for more. There weren't any on the markdown cart, though, so I had to pay full price.

Checking out Bailey's Antiques and Aloha Shirts.

This is colorful.

Rather expensive.

Family shirts.

Then Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice.

Busy but not too long of a line.

With our choices.

Baby chickens.

Yahoo.

A great view of the city on the drive to Nutridge Luau.

Lining up to go in.

Requesting permission to enter.

Greeting us.

Drinks.

They gave us kukui nut leis to put on each other.

And then perform ha, the breath of life greeting.

And back...

... to the other person.

Cheers!

Some dancers.

The viewing area was on a hill, so everyone had a great view.

Rolling food to cook.

An audience member smashing with a hammer.

Then a walk.

To some benches.

For some singing.

A haka.

Poi ball dance.

Fire knife.

Two at once.

Both performers.

Ogii with some baby pineapples.

The time for some cultural activities.

This one you tried to roll a stone...

... through the sticks.

Me trying it.

Ogii.

Spear throwing.

Good shot.

Sarah trying.

She got it, too.

Ogii's turn.

Bracelet making.

All of us.

Twisting the leaves.

With their bracelets.

Tattoos.

Each one had a different meaning.

And you could pick which one you wanted.

And where you wanted it.

Poi balls.

The hardest part is not tangling them.

Dancing.

A huge tree.

With a porch swing underneath.

Which has a beautiful view.

Us.

The up to the dining area.

Sunset.

The line of food.

I liked the pork the best.

Dancers.

As a group.

A video.

On the drive home, we noticed a gecko on the windshield.

He held on no problem.
