2024 Jul 18 | Lance and Sarah: Haley Reinhart at Blue Note, Da Zoo petting zoo

On Wednesday we went to Blue Note to listen to Haley Reinhart.

We ate dinner there.

And listened to her sing.

She had a very powerful voice.

A few clips of her singing.

Blue Note is in the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. There was a neat art shop there, too.

It's fun watching the clouds roll over the mountains during sunrise.

We often see some large sun rays as well. First up...

... then all over.

Supplies in the front doors of the RAV4: water, sunscreen, and Kleenex.

Paper towels are on sale at Safeway.

As a member, you get $4 off, but then for an additional $2 off, you need to scan the digital coupon.

Quilted Northern changed their logo and packaging look, so I didn't recognize it at first. At least it's still purple.

Wait, there are two different types of brown sugar? I never knew that.

Safeway also sells snorkel gear. Although this is the brand of fins that broke on me (I bought them at Target), so I wonder if somewhere else has them.

Maybe ABC.

Masks, but no fins.

Same at CVS.

This is a larger ABC store.

It has fins, but they're not adjustable. I checked a few other ABC stores, and they all had these same fins.

Here's an actual dive center.

They have much nicer masks and fins.

But I'm looking to pay $20, not $200 for fins.

Same with the masks.

These might be nice, but again, I'd rather pay a tenth of the price for something almost as good.

Long line at Lululemon.

Some of the sideway stones in Waikiki have Hawaiian word definitions.

On Thursday we went to Da Zoo petting zoo at DLT Stables.

A variety of animals.

Petting a goat.

My turn.

Feeding a pig.

And a goat.

A baby goat.

So cute.

Ogii holding it.

Me with the baby.

Lance and Sarah.

Donkeys over here.

Ogii feeding them.

Some of the goats got their own food.

More goats.

Others sneak up from behind.

A llama.

They had a few of them.

Ogii feeding three at once.

Very soft.

Ogii petting one.

Me feeding them.

Selfie.

Baby chickens.

Ducks.

The pig found some shade to nap under.

A video of some of the animals.

We saw this guy parachuting down on the southeast corner of the island.

He was in a big seat.

We chatted a bit after he landed. He said they jump off the mountains nearby.

A video.

Stopping by the Halona blowhole.

Sometimes it's smaller, and sometimes it's larger.

Halona Beach Cove.

Some jumpers there.

A video of them.

We went to the Waikiki Shopping Plaza for dinner.

Maguro Bros has a ton of poke.

Ogii and Lance got that.

Looks fresh.

Sarah and I got food from Good Chicken.
