2024 Nov 22 | SE Asia cruise - day 8 - at sea
Today's daily list.
Nothing too interesting.
Random info.
Ads for their stuff.
By the hour.
Opening times.
We had initially planned to do laundry once or twice. Their bag is a cloth one, much nicer than the paper NCL one.
Individual items are very expensive; $3 per underwear or pair of socks.
Like Norwegian, they have a fill-the-bag special. This says it's $38 if you purchase it ahead of time.
Except we didn't do that, and it's $60 for a bag now. That's close to the per-item cost if you mostly have socks and underwear. And this fill-a-bag special wasn't in our room; we had to ask our cabin attendant for it.
Whereas Norwegian is $30 to fill a bag, even without pre-ordering it. Our shirts and pants aren't too dirty, and we have plenty of underwear and socks, so I think we'll skip laundry on this cruise.
Smoked ham for breakfast in the buffet.
My breakfast.
And Ogii's. I really like the variety of nuts they have.
A beer by the stairs.
And another one on the next level. I wonder if someone "hid" these here for other people to find, like ducks?
Today is the main event in the poker room. It goes all day.
Except I got knocked out before noon. I went all-in preflop, got called by two players with worse hands, and one of them won.
The poker tournament in the casino looks like it's close to done. Many people are watching it.
Back to our poker room for some cash games. It's pretty busy, and there's not much for other interesting events on the ship today.
The ice bar is neat.
We're hungry at 4:45pm, but nothing is open until 5:30pm, in 45 minutes.
They have most of the buffet blocked off, as that doesn't open until 6pm.
The Italian section is open now, though, so we got some pizza and pasta.
I can stick a single piece of pasta on each prong of the fork to ensure I don't drop it.
Tomorrow's events.
Again, not doing any of this as we'll be in port.
This page mentions asking your stateroom attendant about the laundry packages, but it'd still be better if they put it in your room instead. And had a cheaper price on-board rather than only if you order ahead of time.

By the hour.
Opening times. We could stay up late playing poker and going to the full-moon white party at 10pm, but we have another busy day tomorrow, so we went to bed early, around 8pm.
