Today was a sea day. We had breakfast in one of the main dining rooms. There was a nice basket of bread.
French toast.
Steak and eggs.
Dessert.
We were talking to the couple next to us who were from Trinidad, and Ogii mentioned she liked the woman's earrings.
Turns out she makes them herself and she gave them to Ogii.

Day five is San Juan, Puerto Rico. The massive fort sticking out is easy to see.

Their sheets were on sale, $50 off and then an additional 30% off.
And since Amazon sells them at the regular price, we decided to buy a sheet set.
Their shirts are also very soft, but we didn't like any of the designs.

Then into Del Sol for more free items. We also bought a color-changing t-shirt and fingernail polish.

Which has a view of the harbor.
And the red Puerta de San Juan, the main entry into the city in the 1600s.
Plaza de Armas was closed for construction.
We had lunch at La Mallorquina.
Which was founded in 1848, making it the oldest restaurant in the New World.
It seems to have been updated some since then.
Aw, they were out of their La Palma drink.
But they still had mofonogo.
Along with plantains.
Many shops along the roads.
You can see the fort from Plaza Colon, but we've been there before, so we didn't walk up to it.

We had dinner on the ship at the Cala Jondal restaurant, although all of the free sit-down restaurants had the same menu.

They were holding the ship for a few minutes for one more person who wasn't back on. The flight options to Puerto Plata, our next stop, are pretty limited.
There is only one direct flight, on Frontier, which takes under 2 hours.
All of the other flights go back to the mainland and then come back down, making them take over 10 hours.
And the direct Frontier flights are only on Sunday and Thursday. So if you miss the ship, it's going to be a real pain for this particular path.

This huge bucket in the children's pool would dump out a ton of water every so often, which the kids loved.
The entertainment director had a very shiny suitcoat.

Then comedian did an adults-only showed. It was fully booked, but since the show was right before, most people just stayed in their seats, and since the staff didn't come through checking each person still seated one-by-one, the reservation didn't do anything.
He was very funny again.
