I flew to Honolulu for the week for training at Kaiser.
The plane flew around Oahu and came in from the western shore.
Electric Beach is an easy landmark to spot.
As are the Ko Olina lagoons.
And the Wet 'n' Wild waterpark.

For National car rental, I could pick any car in this section.
I went with a Prius since I'm familiar driving that.

I saw a Lexus with a color similar to the RAV4's Hot Lava.
But it doesn't come in Hot Lava.
Similar colors were Molten Pearl.
Cadmium Orange.
And Blazing Carnelian.
Now it's Copper Crest, which isn't very similar.
This says Cadmium Orange and Blazing Carnelian were actually the same color, just with different names.
And the earlier Molten Pearl doesn't have a single hex code.
Although neither does the Hot Lava for the RAV4.
This site says these are the colors in Hot Lava, but it's not an official site.
Google AI says Molten Pearl is also known as Lava Orange Pearl.
But that's a different manufacturer code than Hot Lava. So maybe the colors are similar but not quite the same, or maybe they're the same with different names and numbers.

I thought I only made phone calls in Jamaica when I was on wifi, but I guess not. It cost 25 cents per minute. The resorts wifi went down at times, so I'm guessing that's what happened.

Hawaii residents can get a guided tour of the telescopes at the top of Mauna Kea, but only once a month, and the number of spots is very limited, I think around 10.
The spots open up at 8am a month before, and they get taken almost instantly.
I got a spot, but Ogii didn't, because I didn't know you couldn't make reservations for other people, only yourself. I guess we'll try again next month.
I noticed almost all of the optometrists at Kaiser wore scrubs, mostly black, and mostly Figs, so I decided to buy some. They have a few different tops. I liked Leon because it seemed to have a slightly higher neckline than Chisec. Neither had bottom pockets, but I don't really use those much. So I bought 5 Leons and 1 Chisec, just to try it.
They also had a few different pants. I went with 5 Axim, since they have 7 pockets, and 1 Pisco, just to try it, although it only has 4 pockets. One really nice thing about their pants is they all come in a short length. Since Ogii has to hem up most scrub pants I buy, it would be nice to buy some where she doesn't have to do that.

But a coupon side said you could get 20%.

The islands are different shaped enough that it's pretty easy to remember which is which, especially with the smaller unique features.

We grabbed dinner from Big Island Pizza Napoletana. I overheard a family discussing SLT for glaucoma, so I chatted with them about it. They mentioned a 4th of July pancake breakfast happening tomorrow.
I Googled it, and came across this Facebook group.
Which also had other events on the island. Gotta join this group.

Except I couldn't figure it out and we drew.
It was only a 2-minute game, so you'd expect many mistakes and a swingy game.
I got my Figs scrubs. I like the separate pen pocket on the tops.
I was right; the Leon top has a smaller neck opening than the Chisec, so I'll wear the Leon ones.
And the multiple pockets on the pants.
Even a mini pocket on the inside for keys, cash, or earbuds.
