2026 Feb 08 | Lance and Sarah visiting, Super Bowl at Oceans Sports Bar

Two geckos on the wall.

Neighbor's pigs.

Neighbor's sheep.

Goats by the parking lot at work.

A big one.

Watching me.

Two babies playing.

We left our tongs at the potluck.

Our neighbor returned them, along with some ginger.

Dried persimmons at the grocery store.

Alcohol with pretty cans.

Kettle chips on sale.

The neighbor's sheep came closer than usual.

Uh oh, they came up into our area.

The fance has been down since we moved in.

Time to go scare them back.

So they don't go onto the road.

Keep going.

Back on their land.

Palm tree with many coconuts.

Dinner with Lance and Sarah.

Pretty sunrise.

A little flower starting to bloom on a tree by us.

Gecko peeking around the side.

Going to MyPro.

For student massages.

I got my Oakley sunglasses.

Looks like they have everything I ordered.

Although the prism makes the outer edges a bit thicker.

Ogii wants to make chocolate.

But we weren't sure where to find cacao butter, so we ordered some on Amazon.

Lance and Sarah went to the Waimea Cherry Blossom Heritage Festival and brought us back a cutting.

Ogii planted it next to her pineapple and tomato.

Ogii shopping with the Saks benefit from our credit card.

Taking this little alley from the parking lot.

To the front.

Happiness is a great name for a place.

Their sign says they're showing the Super Bowl if we can't find anywhere else.

At Da Shark Shack.

To watch the geckos lick cherries.

Picture of people playing poker.

Most of the tourists run to avoid the wave splashes; they kids waited for them.

The geckos don't like the pineapples, only cherries.

Picking Seahawks outfit colors.

Ogii making breakfast.

With Sarah's help.

And mine.

Ready to go.

Now there are three flowers on the nearby tree. This photo is with the phone through a spotting scope.

And this is with the DSLR with a 600mm lens. They look pretty close.

Ogii bought this prayer wheel at the Tibetan Happy Shop.

We decided to go to Oceans Sports Bar to watch the Super Bowl as they had mostly Seahawks fans. They said they opened at 10am, and the game starts at 1:30pm, so we figured we'd show up around 11:30am.

It was already completely packed by then, though.

Thankfully a couple at a four-person table invited us to sit with them.

Ogii got a blue drink.

Chips and salsa.

Turing the TV so we can see it better.

Another round of drinks.

Lunch.

Grey Zabel from Pierre, SD.

Levi's Stadium is in Santa Clara, but they always show pictures of San Francisco instead of Santa Clara.

The Seahawks are up by three.

Now six.

Now nine.

There are always a few local channel ads.

The first one is for Hawaii News Now.

We all went outside at halftime.

For a group photo.

It's almost all Seahawks fans.

Although there were a few Patriots fans.

Raffle number winners.

We didn't win any.

Although I think this guy won a whole sack full, so he was going around giving them away. Ogii got a baseball cap.

Halftime show.

Puppy Bowl.

Another local commercial.

Central Pacific Bank.

Seahawks with a fourth field goal.

It's getting harder for New England to come back now.

Bald eagle and clydesdale.

The logo is very colorful.

First Hawaiian Bank.

Bank of Hawaii. So the local commercials were one news station and three banks.

The Patriots finally scored.

Although they still need at least two scores.

High five for the other team.

Both teams scored more.

And it's over.

The crowd cheering at different points in the game.

Unfortunately many people who parked in the lot got tickets. The people we sat with pay over $50 at a nearby lot.

We had parked up on the street for free, though.
