Ogii recently got her new travel backpack; now I got mine. I like the multiple separate outside pockets so I can store all of my items individually.

We're watching the TV show DMV. Here she's punching holes in old driver's licenses.

I wonder if they picked that address at random or if it has some meaning to someone on the show.
I like how the characters sometimes break the fourth wall and look at the camera.
Then she keeps it. The other characters were using old driver's licenses to play cards, and certain states beat other states, so I wonder if that's why she kept it? But she wasn't playing the game with the others, and they didn't really explain the rules of the card game, so maybe she's keeping it for some other reason.
I've heard all of the rain makes ants go into houses. We had some here.

When we watch TV during dinner, the sun is often in our eyes, but if we sit in the right spots on the couch, sometimes the pillars provide a line of shadow we can hide behind.
Southwest often has discounted fares.
But they never work for where or when we want to go somewhere.
All of the one kind of Crisco vegetable oil was sold out, but there were plenty of other kinds.

So rather than watching a show, we sat and watched that for a while. The lights turn on and off.

The second season of The Pitt is out on HBO. We waited a bit to watch it so we could see all of the episodes within one month so we wouldn't have to pay for more.
The first season had some eye problems.
And this season starts with some.
They do a great job...
... keeping the diagnoses...
... and treatments correct.

Another eye problem on The Pitt.
That's pretty bad.
Not too many diseases will cause that vision loss that severe that suddenly.
Especially with no pain.
CRAO is the most likely cause.
It's interesting how so many cameras are attachments to cell phone cameras now.
Many of them work very well, and are much cheaper than the larger units.
Looking at the wrong eye.
Always want to start with the other eye for a comparison.

In theory, this might help, but in reality, the evidence is very weak.
Same with this.
Good in theory, very unlikely to have an benefit in the real world.
The main problem is the studies show you need to treat it within 4 hours, which is often not possible, as the patients usually won't even get to an emergency room that soon.
I'm not sure which study they were referencing with this statistic, since the few studies there are often have very few subjects due to the very limited time constraint.
And the treatment is a bit risky.
As it can cause fatal intracranial hemorrhage.
The studies seem to show TNK is better than tPA or medical management, but the data is weak due to so few patients.
One problem I have with this show...
... is that most of the treatments, even the questionable ones...
... always work. When really, in most cases, the riskiest procedures should fail more.
They touched on the problem caused by deporting immigrants.
And on accepting death.
The big problem in this season was that the electronics health records system went down, so they had to go back to paper charts. Which means bad handwriting by doctors.
Although the old nurse who's been around a long time...
... can figure it out.
Where as the younger ones can't.
