2010 Jul 11 | World Cup at Richmond Arms

We went to a free screening of Cyrus.

I got the nacho combo.

Which was $10.75.

But a large nacho and medium drink cost $10.75 on their own. So how is that a combo?

The Free Press Houston, which is almost impossible to find. The HoustonPress, on the other hand, is at lots of stores.

We needed to buy some weights and mats for our boot camp. At Target, the 8lb weights were $9.99...

...and were $8.87 at Wal-Mart.

3lb ones were $4.49 at Target...

... and $5.57 at Wal-Mart.

And the cheapest mat was $19.99 at Target...

... and $9.00 at Wal-Mart. So the weights were pretty close, within $1 of each other, but the mat was a lot cheaper at Wal-Mart.

I was looking for a broom. I couldn't find any, although there was a plethora of them for in-store use here, mocking me.

Oh, yeah, I forgot. A broom would be over in the home cleaning section of the food area, not the general house items area.

Oh come on. What kind of low life opens and eats some chips and then puts them back on the shelf?

Accident.

Watching a World Cup game at Buffalo Wild Wings.

An SUV that spun out on the highway and slammed into the side.

Our boot camp class at Spotts Park.

This is a funny-looking sweater.

Purple truck with big pipes... that's weird, too.

Playing volleyball.

There were some pretty big guys this time.

Good bump.

We went to Richmond Arms to watch the World Cup finals. We got there at 11am, when they opened, to get good seats.

We sat in the fourth row.

There was a $10 cover, but you got two free drink tickets, so it evened out. However, we couldn't use them for the ciders, which we both wanted, since those were more expensive, so that was a bit of a pain.

An outdoor seating area.

And another one.

The line to get in later on.

Standing room only in this area.

Jenny and I.

It got pretty hot because there were so many people there, but it was still a lot cooler inside than outside. The fans on both sides were singing chants back and forth and cheering the whole time, which was fun.
