The Vasa is a giant ship that sank on it's first voyage. I'm not going to comment on most of the pictures because they pretty much speak for themselves.

They recoved a fair number of skeletons. They didn't know who any of them really were, but they named them and could figure out some basics about how they lived from fractures and tooth structure and such.
